Sierra Fitness, located in the foothills of the Santa Catalina Mountains and very near to the area’s renowned Ventana Canyon, is committed to empowering, educating and helping its members achieve their fitness goals and dreams.
From those who live a sedentary lifestyle to active lifestyle. From sports enthusiasts and full-on athletes to good, dedicated no-nonsense everyday gym goers, or any prospective member. There is a place for everyone here at Sierra Fitness. Anyone may just find this health club to be the best when it comes to overall facilities, exercise equipment, personal training, strength conditioning, strength training, group classes and more.
Our Story
Sierra Fitness’ Manager of Group Fitness, Karla Ferguson became an instructor (30 years ago) so she could teach fun, inspiring classes. Leading and inspiring her team of group exercise class instructors, she encourages herself and her team to stay fresh in fitness trends and evolve with other outstanding fitness professionals.
Originally opened by Dan and Beth Wirth, Sierra Fitness has been part of the Tucson foothills community since 2002. Being a personal trainer at Sierra Fitness of over fourteen years, Shaun Nash, purchased the gym in December 2019. Sierra Fitness has always been closely connected to the community and Shaun is continuing that tradition, as well as the family vibe each member can expect when they walk in through our doors!

A dedicated team of personable and highly qualified personal trainers, group exercise class instructors and front desk staff work together to maintain a first-class fitness club offering quality fitness workouts and training for all ages.
