Zumba is a trademarked dance form with aerobics fitness program created by Colombian dancer and choreographer Alberto “Beto” Perez during the 1990s. Classes combine dance and fitness movements inspired by various styles of Latin American dance and performed primarily to Latin American dance music. Right here in Tucson!
Zumba uses a variety of styles in its routines, including Cumbia, Merengue, Salsa, Reggaeton, Mambo, Rumba, Flamenco and even Hip Hop. Music selections include both fast and slow rhythms to help tone and sculpt the body.
